The Voltron archive
Five lions,
one archive
Voltron has never been one thing. The show that ran in 1984 was assembled out of two Japanese cartoons with nothing to do with each other, and when the producers ran short of one of them they commissioned more episodes rather than stop, so a stretch of the middle has no Japanese original anywhere behind it. Three further series followed, and they do not agree with each other: The Third Dimension discards those American-made episodes outright, while Legendary Defender restarts the story and hands the Japanese names back to characters 1984 had renamed.
The cartoons, the encyclopedia, the shelf and the comics all live here, with the seams left visible and every source named.

What this is
A fan archive, and part of the HERO80 network alongside its sister sites. One HERO80 account works across every one of them.
Where two sources disagree about Voltron we publish the disagreement and say who said what. The episode counts are the obvious case. The 1984 series runs to 124. Its own episode list and the 2019 complete-collection set both give that figure, and Wikipedia's franchise page still contradicts them. Legendary Defender is 78 on that same episode list, or 76 if the triple-length Netflix premiere counts once rather than as the three parts iTunes split it into.
